SPE have again been awarded the 'Machinery supplier of the year'.

This years event was held in the Royal Suite at the impressive Wembley Stadium on Monday 19th November. The event included a full tour of the new National Stadium before the presentations and dinner.

Introducing the MP 6000 Multi-Tasking Surface Preparation Solution!

The new MPS6000, demonstrated at our International Open Day earlier this year, has been specifically designed to perform the most demanding surface preparation tasks with cost effectiveness, durability and ease of use.

The 'sit and ride' design helps reduce the effects of operator fatigue whilst providing a solid and robust platform optimised to outstrip the performance of 'hand operated' machines that lack the physical attributes required when tackling some of the more demanding surface preparation tasks. This is accomplished via the 3.3 litre 72hp Perkins diesel engine power source capable of delivering significant torque to the hydraulic drive unit.

The platform of the MPS6000 has been fully optimised in terms of its power to weight ratio, incorporating a twin fan onboard dust collector and a 50KVA generator unit (with auxillary outlets), yet the versatility of the machine allows it to turn on its own axis. As it is laser guided, accuracy is also maintained throught operation.

The SPE Open Day and Product Launch held on Wednesday 26th September proved to be a great success. Visitors were invited to see how the SPE group operates from the initial design of equipment, stock and manufacturing, administration and purchasing to production, assembly and final testing of equipment prior to despatch. The main aim was to show equipment in use to demonstrate the different applications and offer technical advise to guests.

The event was well attended by a cross section of visitors including Flooring Contractors, Material Manufacturers, Hire Companies, Distributors, Training Providers, Trade Press and Ferfa – The resin flooring association.

The full range of SPE Surface Preparation Equipment was on display split between the main Showroom and SPE Training Practical Facility. New products - DFG700 Triple Head Floor Grinder, VAC316 415v Dust Collector, MP6000 Ride on Machine and PCD Grinding Tools drew they most interest from visitors. In addition to the new products a variety of Autoblast equipment, Floor Grinding, Stripping and Planing Machines were demonstrated throughout the day.
